Happy birthday daddy. We went to the store and Belle picked out a cake -- pink heart valentine, I guess that's what you get when your birthday lands on Valentines Day. We got home and Belle insisted on embellishing it with sprinkles. To her credit, she did have sprinkles in the cart, but I put them back when she wasn't looking and I thought for sure she would forget. The minute we got home she asked where the sprinkles were - luckily I had a stash of cookie decorating items.
Earlier in the week we celebrated with a traditional King Cake, sent by Kyle's parents, since Kyle's birthday also lands in the middle of Mardi Gras.
