The Washington Post coined last weekend's record setting storm Snowmageddon, (about 20 inches in Arlington) now the Post coining round two, Snowverkill (5-10 inches expected).
This is day 5 of playing in jammies for most if not all of the day. I love staying home in my jammies, I don't see why Belle wouldn't enjoy the same? She has comfy fleece jammies that we are rotating between day time and night time. Not to worry, the mall with the restaurants has been mostly open and we've made a few walks to Starbucks and the mall.
The other day we met Taffe and his mommy Nicole at the mall (we all live close enough to walk) -- the upstairs by the movie theater is all carpeted. I coaxed Belle to run around this yellow bus about a 100 times to wear out some energy, it was perfect because there we no people around and it was like a private gym.
On a separate day this past weekend we met our friends Izzy and her mom Jennifer at the mall for lunch. The girls had a blast watching the water fountain while Jen and I were able to catch up a bit.
We've also spent a lot of time reading stories...thank goodness daddy has been home a bit to help out. Kyle came home a little early on Friday and spent the whole weekend at home. He was in the office on Tuesday all day (even though the Federal Government was closed, Kyle's office was open and there was plenty of work to do) today, Wednesday he's spent the entire day in his home office on conference calls.
Look at the icicles on our neighbors house, literally one story long and I am sure they are the same on our house. Wow, mother nature.
Tonight we walked over to the mall to meet Maj and Bill and little Connor for some Mexican food. The children were wonderful, they let the adults sit and eat and drink for hours, while they munches on chips. It mostly took so long because the restaurant was jam packed and light on help, but we didn't mind, the margaritas were delicious!
