A whirlwind visit from Grandma Mary Kay. We played and played and played some more.... we played so hard that Belle took 4 hour afternoon naps -- maybe she's in a growing spurt.
We went to see the beautiful cherry blossoms, in full bloom -- a first for my mom to see. We walked around the mall and let Belle run wild, which was so fun.
Our trip into the city involved a stop at Curbside Cupcake for breakfast. When Grandma's around anything goes:)
We did some shopping for birthday party supplies and a bit for ourselves too. My mom got a great pair of new jeans that look awesome on her. We stopped at Build-A-Bear where Belle picked out a bunny to make.
Since she wanted a bunny we thought it was a good idea to stop and see the Easter Bunny as we walked by him at the mall. Belle was great as long as she didn't have to sit on his lap.
And at home she had to put her new sunglasses on herself and her bunny as she snuggled up on the sofa.
On Saturday my mom and I spent the day wandering Old Town Alexandria, looking in all the boutique shops and furniture stores, enjoying a few glasses of wine at lunch and coffee to keep us going in the afternoon:).
Belle had a blast with her Grandma and was especially thrilled by the giant coloring book she brought from Minnesota. She colored on it everywhere she went and it is almost her size.
The two of them were inseparable, even having snack at the "kids" table.
We're sad to see Grandma leave and can't wait until June when we travel to Minnesota to see all of the family.

Looks like both Grandma and B had such fun... I love the pix of her in her sunglasses. Was fun to see your mom during her visit!
