Belle and I ventured up to Prior Lake to see Grandma and Grandpa O'Donnell. They had a whole day of activities planned, and since Belle didn't nap after lunch we were able to play... a lot.
They took Belle to a nearby park where she had a blast.
And then they baked a cake -- just add water :) Good for a two-year-old.
Later we went to see Belle's cousin Claire and her new baby sister Paige. They played bubbles and made mud pies in the watery sand box. What could be more fun?
We stayed over night. Grandma and Grandpa were on bath and bedtime duties while I took a break for dinner and saw my good friend Tanya from law school. What a wonderful time to catch up. We spent almost every day together in school, but we hardly get a chance to see each other. She has 3 busy children, and with my own "miss busy" it was refreshing to have an adult dinner and conversation.
Tuesday morning we got up and going to make the drive to Le Center (mommy's home town) to see Grandpa's store and take a gander at all the pretty jewels. Belle loved trying on the rings and watches. She was allowed to play with the samples, but what she really wanted was the diamonds under lock and key. A girl after her mama's heart :).
