Who would have thought a golf cart would be SOOO much fun. Well. Aunt Linnette and Uncle Pat did.... they pulled out all the stops and hosted us last night for an evening outside in the beautiful weather, looking at nothing but nature for miles around. Linnette brought out the "horsey" I used to ride -- Belle loved it.
Next Linnette got out the trucks, made a tent, got out the sidewalk chalk and Belle was as happy as a clam. Which gave this mommy plenty of time to sit and have a few relaxing beers. When Uncle Pat got home, he drove out the golf cart and everyone got a ride.
Maggie, Chris and 5-month-old baby Owen stopped by too! Belle wasn't happy about her mama holding another baby... a bit jealous.

Earlier in the day my mom and I borrowed Linnette's convertable for a relaxing drive around the lake and a stop at the Boat Landing for a bloody mary on the deck, here was the view (taken on my phone). I love the water, it was so nice to listen to the waves and just relax, the water is so peaceful, it make me want to buy a lake cabin and hide away all summer.
