Oh Christmas Tree..... The past two years my mom and step-dad, Len, have visited right before the holidays and somehow have managed to get them to help put up the tree -- its a big tree. This year, we spent Thanksgiving morning putting up the tree while the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade played in the background. Annabelle loved to help put the ornaments on the tree, in fact, she enjoyed it so much, so would place the ornaments that she liked on the tree, then take them off, only to put them back on the tree. What a fun exercise that kept her busy most of the morning. The best part was seeing her face light up when we turned on the Christmas lights. We have a remote, so Grandpa taught her to tell "bamm" and the lights would appear, as if she had some magical powers. She loves the tree all lit up.
The next morning we walked downstairs, still a little dark outside at 6:30 am and she ran over to the tree and yelled "wake up Christmas tree, wake up" as if the tree would magically turn on its lights to greet her. Luckily for us, she's been great about not touching the tree, but lets just see what happens when we put presents under it.
