We finished decorating the children's bedrooms. Annabelle's room is all pink and very girly. Her off-white rod-iron canopy bed sits under a pink chandelier and has a fluffy tulle bed skirt and matching canopy drapes. Her reading nook is outfitted with custom (thanks Grandpa and Grandma Carpenter) library shelves; some book bins for the extra books and a beautiful "you are my sunshine" print. The curtains are white with a dark pink polk-a-dot, to contrast all of the light pink in the bedding and walls. We love the room, but Annabelle loves it more.
Quentin's nursery is outfitted in brown and yellow, with accents of blue. The overall theme is vintage nursery rhymes. Again, Quentin has custom floor to ceiling library shelving (Grandpa and Grandma Carpenter were busy all weekend). Above the crib are three vintage nursery rhyme paintings.
The children share a jack-and-jill bathroom, each with their own sink on opposite sides of the shower area. This is the shower curtain and towels that we hung in the shared space. We think its perfect for a girl and a boy.
