What a fun trip, this might be the longest post (or multi-post) in the 3-year history of the Jefcoat Blog. We drove 3 hours to Sesame Place in Pennsylvania; a complete little-kid dream, everything Sesame. It's basically a little kid water park with shows and characters and a few dry-rides too.
After seeing Annabelle loose her mind for all of her “furry friends” I couldn’t help but drink the ‘Kool-aid’. The first stop was breakfast with Elmo and other characters. We got into the park an hour early, had breakfast where Elmo and the gang visited our table and Annabelle could warm-up to the characters on her own terms without a bunch of wild kids waiting in line.
Zoe and Annabelle had a laugh over some Fruit Loops.

It was great to have so much one-on-one time with the characters at breakfast.

We loved Burt & Ernie. Burt loved holding Quentin and Quentin didn't seem to mind. Ernie was also very sweet. One of my favorite moments of the trip came during this group photo when Annabelle ran up to Burt and said "I watch you on TV" - she was so excited.
Ernie loved little Quentin, and gave Annabelle a high-five!

After breakfast we saw our friends Jim, Colleen and McKenna Fredricks entering the park, what fun! We ran into them throughout the next few days. After a quick stop in a store, Annabelle got a little Abby Cadaby doll, which she carried with her for 2 days, we walked down Sesame Street (the actual street recreated) – so cute. Here we saw Zoe and Annabelle ran over to her, arms wide open.
Annabelle was very interested in seeing the characters, so we jumped over to 1-2-3 Smile to see more of Abby Cadaby, her favorite character – of course, she’s a fairy! We saw a couple shows, which Annabelle also loved. I would say her favorite thing was hugging the characters and second was the shows.
Annabelle was determined to show Abby Cadaby (and all of the other characters) her new Abby doll. Abby Cadaby thought it was so cute, she waved her magic wand and gave Annabelle some fairy dust, right on top of her head. Annabelle was over-the-moon with excitement.

On day two Clark went with us. We rented a Cabana for the day, if for nothing else, for a place to rest with Quentin and have all of our water stuff. With the cabana was VIP access to all the characters before the parade and a special appearance by The Count at our cabana. Most of the children were on rides when The Count showed up to the cabanas so we had more time than we needed to chat with The Count, Annabelle got up close and personal with The Count, she counted to ten for him and play hide-and-seek with the cabana drapes.
We shared lots of hugs with the characters.
Even Uncle Clark, who was on baby duty, managed to get a hug from Murry.
The access to the characters before the parade was so fun. There were just about 20 people or so and you had plenty of time to see everyone. Zoe taught Annabelle a few dance steps -- it was so cute to watch.
