We went to the pediatrician today for Annabelle's "6 month" visit, although it was more like 6 1/2 months. She had some vaccine shots and the first of two doses of the flu shot. We go back in 30 days for more shots. Annabelle has been a little under the weather this past week. It started last Sunday with some congestion, on Monday she vomited and didn't sleep well. The congestion and disrupted sleep has continued all week, and then this past Friday - Halloween - we noticed her first tooth (bottom front). She is working on the second tooth (right next to the first tooth) as well. With teething has brought irritability, pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite and general distress. She's having a tough time with the first two teeth. Hopefully the second tooth will break through the gum soon.
On the brighter side, Annabelle's development is great. She is sitting for longer periods by herself before she tips over, her hand-eye coordination is good, and the doctor thought everything seemed right on track.
Annabelle weighs 16 pounds, 14 ounces (75%) and is 26 5/8 inches long (80%).
