Gymnastics is Fun

Well.... fun for Belle to run around in all the places she's not supposed to while her mommy chases her - now that is a fun game. We started Tumbling for Tots, a gymnastics class through Arlington County with our good friends Marcela and Ema. Ema was a good girl, sat with her mommy and followed in a line with the other children (we're some of the younger kids in the class). Belle on the other hand wanted to run around and throw herself into the foam pit over and over again. So, I am not sure how much learning she'll get in this class -- but not to be discouraged, it was only the first day.

The children warm-up with the teacher and then run through circuits that consist of jumping on a trampoline (by the way, Belle can jump - who knew?); extending and tightening her arms on the uneven bars; extending her toes to an uneven bar while hanging on to the other bar; swinging from the rings while grasping them; and there are a few others I can't remember. We walked on a very wide balance beam that was set on the floor; pencil rolled down a hill; and put beanbags into a bucket. All very fun activities for a little girl.
Marcela took a couple photos on her i phone during the class.
