Belle surprises us all the time. She knows her colors and shapes and most of the letters. She's constantly singing all kinds of random songs. Her favorites are Itsy Bitsy Spider; Twinkle Twinkle; ABC's; You Are My Sunshine.
Somewhere along the way she has learned how to do dance steps.... she stands in front of the mirror and says "step, ball change" while moving her leg/foot, actually in the correct motion. I have no idea where this came from -- possibly Dora or Yo Gabba Gabba.
Her favorite character right now is by far Dora, everything must be Dora and she must watch Dora when given a choice. Although, Princesses (especially Barbie and the Dancing Princesses) are a second choice that sometimes works and the Pixar movie Cars is quickly gaining momentum.
We need to get her back into Spanish, I'm horrible at it and haven't been very good about keeping up with it for her. The best thing for both of us is if I can hurry up and lean some and then talk to her more in Spanish. Her Saturday Spanish class started today.
She says things like, "sure" and "maybe" and "fantastic" and "adorable" and "awesome" -- its so funny to hear these things come out of her little mouth. The other day she said "not quite" when Kyle asked her if she was ready to go? We both looked at each other, like, where does this come from? Such grown-up words.
We finally set up the baby cradle and baby highchair from Auntie Angie and she loves it. Belle is a great "mommy". Along the lines of being a mommy, she has to carry her baby and purse everywhere and its loaded with all kinds of goodies.
She is still into building blocks and has been really interested in card games. Matching games, bingo games and memory games are her favorite at the moment. She's finishing 16 card matching games in under 2 minutes. She especially loves playing these games on Grammie Jefcoat's iPad.
Kyle is very anxious to get her regular size Lego's, but they might be a bit too small yet.
Belle makes pretend phone calls all the time -- I guess she sees her mommy on the phone a lot :-) -- lately she's been calling the "workers" and telling them to "paint my room pink". She's so excited to get a pink bedroom. She also calls her Grandparents and her friends.
If you call her a "baby", she corrects you and says she's a "little girl". She dresses herself, sometimes the outfit choices are interesting and backwards, but she's starting to get the hang of it.
Annabelle is an active little girl, she had to jump off everything, street curbs, stools, bottom stairs -- anything she can. Sher loves to do the "bear crawl", (walking on her hands and feet), and needs to be better about watching where she's going.
All is all, we are having a blast, she is tons of fun and has a personality that makes me laugh all day -- ohh... and if you are wondering, she has a mind of her own and she's stubborn like her daddy, some days she tests my patience.
