Gingerbread House

I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, but this was by far the most fun we've had this holiday season. We invited our friends Marcela and Emelina over to decorate gingerbread houses. The girls are just a few weeks apart in age and we thought it would be a fun experiment. These two little artists were so excited, they stood on their chairs for over an hour meticulously decorating their respective houses, while enjoying a treat for themselves too. It was a sharing experience -- one treat for the toddler, one for the gingerbread house. Needless to say they had a mid-morning sugar high.

Cheers.... we did it!
Belle is so proud of her house, she loved making her marshmallow snowmen too.
And to top off the wonderful morning decorating gingerbread houses while listening to Christmas music, it SNOWED... well, just a few flurries in the wind. The weather man never mentioned a chance of snow, but it was a delightful surprise. The girls loved watching it, even if it was brief.
