One Month

Our one month post is actually posted at 5 weeks....we have been a little behind this past week. Annabelle is growing like a weed, literally. We went to the doctor this past Tuesday (May 20th) and Annabelle now weighs 9 pounds 3 ounces and is 21 1/2 inches long. She grew 2 inches in 15 days! The doctor said that her baby acne is normal and it should go away by two months.




At the doctor we learned more about tummy time and the doctor tried it out to see how she was progressing. The doctor said that she has the strength of some 4-month-old babies, that is scary. That evening we tried tummy time with Annabelle and she seemed to really like it. She accidentally rolled over (from tummy to back) and I think that scared her a little -- Kyle and I were shocked. She wasn't even mad or anything, it just happened... A few days ago (May 13th) we thought we got a smile out of Annabelle that wasn't a "pooping" face or something else, but we think it still might be a little early for that. We have noticed dimples, so we are very excited to see her dimples more when she starts smiling.

Annabelle and I have been busy during the days when daddy is at work, but I couldn't tell you what we have been up to. We usually go for a walk (which means mommy has to get out of her jammies) and then we just hang out. Annabelle is starting to focus in on more objects, so it is fun to watch her figure out her hands and look at some of her toys.
