Minnesota

Belle and I were in Minnesota last week visiting family. My mom had a house full, so we crashed with my cousins Maggie and Chris. They are fantastic babysitters and toddler entertainers...although, their house is so immaculately clean it's scary. They are expecting a baby boy in February, so this was practice for them.

The first day we made a trip to Walmart for some essentials with Auntie Angie. Angie was certain that a trip to Walmart wouldn't be complete without a cookie... frosting and all. We saw my cousin Jenny and her beautiful 5 month old baby Alex, here with Belle. Neither child was interested in getting their photo taken -- at least little Alex sits still.
Belle eating ducky cookies made by my Aunt Linnette -- she is the best baker ever -- secret family recipes and techniques:). This was Belle's "high chair" for the week when we were at Maggie and Chris's house. Belle even went to church and sat still and quite for the entire mass...she was a good girl in church. She thinks Chris is fantastic and had to sit next to him.

The highlight was that it snowed - accumulation on the grass - it's early October, what's up? We checked it out as soon as we awoke, jammies and all (17 degrees that morning...burrrr).

Now we're all bundled and ready for the day. Belle isn't too sure about this big coat, but winter is right around the corner. She said "cold" for the first time, seemed appropriate.

And of course, blow drying the hair. Maggie thinks it is so funny that Belle sits still for a little round brush to the bangs.... have to look pretty. Now, if I could only get Belle to keep a bow in her hair.
