Playing on the Grass of the US Capitol

Belle and I had a wonderful day. Jenni and Ryan met us at our house at 9:30 this morning and we took the metro into the city -- a beautiful 75 degree day, partly sunny, perfect for a walk on the National Mall. We started near the Washington Monument -- stopping for a photo opp.

After lunch at Rosa Mexicana -- complete with margaritas -- we met up with Shiloh and Luke and walked back to the National Mall, near the US Capitol, where Belle chilled with her sunglasses and mommy's coffee (empty - it was afternoon by then).

Belle couldn't help herself, she ran and ran...and ran some more on the beautiful US Capitol grass.

Here she is running toward me right before she tackled me to the ground.

I tried to catch her for a mommy/baby photo opp -- but she was on the move...:)
