We've had family in town this week and today we visited the White House. Linda and Willie Franke joined Todd, Kay and Kyle in DC for many adventures. We got up bright and early this morning to make our way into DC and through the White House Visitor Center before venturing out in the rain to wait in line for our tour to commence at the President's House. The only items allowed into the White House were car keys, wallet, cell phone and umbrella. So we couldn't take any photos, but I have a not-so-good camera on my phone and we managed to snap a few photos when we left the white house and before we crossed through the gate.
Inside the White House Belle was certain that the ropes to "keep little feet off century old furniture and rugs" did not apply to her. And bending her knees (which was not required) to slip under the ropes was so fun -- like a game to see how far she could go.... She climbed up and sat on one chair in the Green Room and walked over beautiful rugs.... more than anyone else had done that day, I am sure.
I believe she sat on the chair closest to the door on the left of this photograph off the Internet.
Here is another photo of the spot that our little Belle decided to rest her tired feet.

And then it was my turn to take a few snap-shots outside with my camera phone.

After the tour we went to brunch at Old Ebbitt Grill -- pumpkin french toast and sausage for me and Belle, yummy. Belle and I parted ways while the "tourist group" ventured down to the National Mall, she didn't even make it out of DC, Belle was so tired. The White House is a big place to walk around.+fast+asleep+in+the+car+ride+home.jpg)

What fun... so cute of B asleep in her carseat. She must have been tuckered out.
