We've packed in lots of end of summer fun. Most of which I did not even get my camera out. But here are some highlights that were actually captured.
Playing sidewalk chalk.
Braiding hair in TWO braids.
Eating cupcakes for mommy's birthday, oh the love of the cupcake.
Face painting... well, sort of. This was her own creation. Apparently she even went to the bathroom mirror to see what she was doing and to get under her "bangs". She was so proud, it was hard not to laugh. Its washable marker, it came off with a baby wipe. Art from Recycling Camp. They focused on "Reuse" so now I have to convince Annabelle that we don't save every milk jug to make a piggy bank.
Playing pretend nap time in mommy's bed. Annabelle actually got Quentin in position and snuggled in right beside him with her baby and closed her eyes and made snoring sounds. She loves playing on our big bed. Quentin, of course, was like get me out of here.
Snow White helping mommy cook. We play A LOT of dress up at this house.
Mommy and Quentin took a nap. Annabelle had the run of the house and she created a restaurant. Lined up all of her animals on the entry bench; had books for them to read; the blankets and rug are the tables; and plates with food of course. It took her at least an house, and it was a quiet hour. :) Park playtime with friends.
Cate and Belle swinging.
And we have a happy guy that says, "get me out of here"! He's so ready to play at the park too. When I told Annabelle to "set the table", I intended for her to use plates that we could actually eat from. Instead, she used everything from her play kitchen. And in the corner, that's Uncle Clark holding the baby dolls. He's such a good sport.
A trip to Glen Echo Park to see the Charlotte's Web play. Annabelle loved it and was mesmerized the whole time. Quentin even laughed when the audience laughed and was perfectly content watching the actors. Not a peep from either one of them.
And a High school football game in late August, our school was in the Championships last year, so there is a lot of excitement. Best of all, we can walk to the games. Annabelle loved watching the band and the cheerleaders.
And some more sidewalk chalk with our friend Isaac. Annabelle is obsessed with creating hop scotch. She tells me how to draw it and I do it for her, then she jumps in the boxes.
Well, that's it.... a zillion photos of the last few weeks.
