Grandma Mary Kay arrived Wednesday night. We immediately started the long list of things we had to do to get ready for the birthday party. Thursday morning we woke up early, thanks to Belle, and went to the flower nursery to get outdoor plants for my deck, we planted them and they look great! We went to Belle's music class and ran to Costco all before nap time. While Belle napped we did a bunch of things around the house. On Friday we made cupcakes and Belle's mini cake for the party, along with lots of decorating.... On Saturday we did last minute party prep. We had some friends visit later in the afternoon and when they left my mom had the kitchen all cleaned up and the crystal washed and put away - how nice! It was so great to have my mom here - I wish she lived closer -not just because she works her butt off every time she is here (although we love that too), but because it is so great to have her around. She just left this morning (Sunday, April 19th) and we wish she could have stayed a few more days.
